Bringing back our Traditional Wrestling( Mgba)
Igbos in general believe that a man should be able fight his aggressors to the best of his abilities. A man is complete when he can effectively and efficiently handle trying situations. In the olden days great wrestlers are the pride of the town. Umuakagu as a community of true Igbo people have been organizing great wrestling matches among it neighboring communities.Names like Donatus Duru, Mmaduakolam Amucha Cletus Nzeduru, Pius Onwudinwe ,Amadikwa Igwe and a host of others bring back those nostalgic memories of childhood we all miss . Wrestling is a great combative sport that keeps one in great shape that is why it still plays great part in the Olympic games till today seeing many individuals winning medals for their countries.
It beats my imagination how we have made this great sport to go into oblivion in our various communities, It high time we revived our great traditional wrestling,
